The agreement, in plain language.

Nurse Focus is a support tool. Mira is a companion — a place to say the thing out loud and be heard. Nurse Focus is not therapy, not clinical care, not crisis care, and not medical advice. Nothing in the app creates a therapist–client, clinician–patient, or any other treatment relationship. Mira does not diagnose, does not treat, and does not chart. No part of the app is a substitute for care from a licensed clinician.

If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (US) or your local emergency number. Nurse Focus is not monitored in real time and is never the right channel for an emergency. See how safety works.

Nurse Focus is an early-access product. That means it is still being built. Features may change, move, or disappear without notice. The app may be unavailable at times, and it may contain errors. We work to keep it reliable and worth your time, but we provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Because conversations are not stored, we cannot recover a thread for you, and Mira will not remember previous conversations. That is a deliberate privacy choice, and it is part of the service as offered.

• — You must be 18 or older to use Nurse Focus.
• — Provide an accurate email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• — One person per account. Don't share access, and don't create accounts for other people.
• — You can stop using Nurse Focus at any time. To delete your account, email hello@nursefocus.com and we'll remove it within 30 days.
• — We may suspend or end an account that violates these terms, particularly the acceptable-use rules below.

Nurse Focus exists for healthcare workers to have a private place to think. You agree not to:

• — Enter patient information or anyone else's personal data. Nurse Focus is not a covered entity and is not built to hold protected health information — please don't put it in.
• — Use the app to harm, harass, or deceive anyone, or to generate content for those purposes.
• — Probe, attack, or overload the service — including automated scraping, credential attacks, or attempts to bypass the safety system, rate limits, or access controls.
• — Misrepresent who you are, or use the app for anything unlawful.
• — Rely on the app as a channel for emergency help. It is not one, ever.

Mira runs a server-side safety layer that detects crisis signals and responds by pointing to human help, such as 988. This system is a safeguard, not a guarantee: it can miss things and it can misfire. It does not make Nurse Focus a crisis service, and it does not create any duty to monitor, detect, or intervene. If you need urgent help, contact 988 or emergency services directly.

The app, its design, and its text belong to Nurse Focus. Your words belong to you. Because we don't retain conversations, we hold no copy of them and claim no rights over what you say beyond the transient processing needed to reply.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Nurse Focus and the people behind it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — or for any loss of data, goodwill, or profits — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. This includes any decision you make or don't make based on a conversation with Mira. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, for a free early-access tool, is zero.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Where that's the case, our liability is limited to the smallest extent the law permits.

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date below. Material changes will be flagged in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Nurse Focus after a change means you accept the updated terms.
