Is Nurse Focus HIPAA-covered?

No. Nurse Focus is not a HIPAA covered entity and holds no protected health information by design. Users are told not to enter patient information, and conversations are not stored.

Do you have SOC 2?

Nurse Focus does not hold its own SOC 2 report. It stores no conversation content and no individual identities; the only stored data are codes and anonymous counters. Our security brief lists each subprocessor and what it handles.

Is it accessible?

We build to WCAG 2.2 AA, and a formal VPAT and independent review are underway. See our accessibility statement and tell us about any barrier.

Which states is Nurse Focus available in?

Conversations are available in every U.S. state except Illinois, Nevada, and Utah, where state AI and mental-health laws currently restrict non-clinical companions. Crisis and peer-support resources are available everywhere.

What devices does it work on?

Any modern browser — phone, tablet, or desktop. Nothing to install, no account to create.

Can we co-brand it?

The app isn't co-branded, so nothing on screen links a conversation to an employer. Each code comes with a link and printable QR code for break rooms and huddle boards.

How do we cancel?

Email us and we'll deactivate your code; it stops working immediately. Your people keep free access to crisis resources at Get help.
