Accessibility at Nurse Focus
Last reviewed: 13 October 2026
Conformance target
Nurse Focus aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Our last review on 13 October 2026 combined automated axe checks of the main pages at phone and desktop sizes with keyboard and screen-reader spot checks.
What we've built in
- — A skip link on every page — straight to the message box on the conversation page.
- — Maren's replies and crisis resources are announced by screen readers as they appear.
- — The age check keeps keyboard focus inside it until you choose.
- — Text colors meet AA contrast on both the light pages and the dark conversation screen.
Known issues
- — The downloadable PDFs are printed from the browser and may not carry full PDF tagging.
- — Automated checks don't catch everything; we keep testing with assistive technology.

A formal VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) and an independent accessibility review are underway as part of our ongoing improvement work. If your organization has an accessibility questionnaire, send it to us and we'll answer it directly.
